The Quoin Rock Wine Estate might just be your dream destination. Architect Dr Yuliya Gaiduk transformed the South African winery and its adjacent warehouse into the new airy Venue Hall. Reynaers Aluminium windows and sliding systems make large glass panes possible and help blend the surrounding landscape with the estate’s interior spaces perfectly. The large former warehouse of Quoin Rock has been renovated to become the Venue Hall, a spacious room that can host up to 200 guests. To bring in as much natural light as possible, the architect and fabricator agreed to replace the original brick walls with lofty glass panes. Take in the view and see how the wide frames draw in the Stellenbosch nature in an instant. ### Indoor elegance meets outdoor beauty The renovated Quoin Rock estate is both luxurious and in touch with its beautiful surroundings. Ceiling motifs, for example, remind you of vine leaves in the summer winds. Next, the new main entrance includes patterns related to local elements such as water, the vineyards, and the mountain ranges. Now, a beautiful pergola brings them together. Laser-cut panels roof the structure, offering visitors some welcome shade when dining. Indeed, bringing the landscape inside is one of the transformation’s most dramatic results. Architect Dr Yuliya Gaiduk clarifies: “To emphasise the connection to the surrounding nature, we decided to replace the existing brick walls with large aluminium-framed windows. Their strength and robustness made it possible to take the massive glass surfaces to new heights. As an added bonus, the expansive glazing does not only reflect the surrounding landscape, but the sky above is now visible as well. Nature comes to life as visitors enjoy an impressive 360-degree view.
